Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ was and is the Son of God who was both man and God. He lived approximately 2000 years ago, born
in Bethlehem (the city of David) to his mother Mary. Mary was a virgin when she found out from an Angel of the
Lord that she was going to have Jesus. From Jesus' birth we celebrate the festival of Christmas.
Jesus lived his life as a perfect man. He came to earth as an example to us all. His ministry was amazing. Here was
a man who faced similar struggles to what we do and still managed to remain blameless.
Jesus was crucified to death for each and every one of our sins, fulfilling the ancient law which required a first
born sacrifice without blemish. Jesus was our sacrifice.
Jesus death was not the end of his ministry! He rose from the dead 3 days after being crucified. (We celebrate this
at Easter) He appeared to thousands of people before being ascended back up to Heaven where he waits by the
fathers right hand until the end of this world.
He wants you to be in Heaven with him, all you have to do is believe in him and repent of your sins. The invite is
open to all. Whether you are the biggest or smallest sinner. He will present you blameless before God.
